They spent the rest of the morning looking around the venue, wandering through the gardens, and looking at the various small stores set up in the foyer of the main building. There were plenty of Konference Kabins staff around, but Riley thought they were there to assist the event attendees. None of them looked like a manager or someone they could ask about Eilidh’s meals. And how was he supposed to do that anyway? Saying, “Are you going to feed the nurse?” wouldn’t win them any friends, and he wasn’t really a fighting kind of man. He’d hated having to hurt the attacker yesterday, and he certainly didn’t want to end up in a fight with the staff here because he was being rude. Besides, that would get them expelled from the party, which would bring disgrace upon them in their pack.

A little after twelve he followed Josiah into the First Aid room. Fortunately it was empty apart from Eilidh, who was tidying up the trolley with bandages and things on it. Everything was in individual sterile packets, and she was sorting through them and putting them into little boxes.

She looked up when they entered and smiled. Dammit, her smile was erotic. Her entire face glowed with an inner light that tugged at his cock. Hell yes, he wanted her as their woman. Her body was lush and curvaceous, just the way he liked a woman to be. Talking to her had been wonderful. She really contributed to their conversation, saying things that showed she was listening and interested in them as people as well as highlighting the fact she was an intelligent person. But seeing her now, in her own place, smiling like that at them both, really drove it home to him that hell yes, she was the one he wanted above all the others. The fact that he didn’t know the other women here, hadn’t met them yet, didn’t matter. Riley knew Eilidh was right for him and Josiah.

Josiah held out the flowers they’d chosen at the little florist shop out front. “Thank you for looking after me yesterday.”

The faintest hint of a blush stained Eilidh’s cheeks a deeper pink. “Thank you. It’s my job to care for you. You didn’t need to get me these, but they’re beautiful. Thank you.”

“We didn’t need to, no. But we wanted to. You’re special to us both, Eilidh.”

She had her back half turned to them as she filled a tall bottle with water from the sink to put the flowers in, but Riley thought the blush on her cheeks darkened farther. Surely that had to mean she wasn’t indifferent to them. That she did care about them at least a little bit. More than just to ensure Josiah was better at least.

“We were just about to have lunch. Will you eat with us please, Eilidh?” asked Josiah.

Riley watched her face carefully. He thought she looked a tiny bit disappointed when she said, “I’m sorry. I can’t leave the First Aid office.
